AEROSMITH To Perform At Convention For TOYOTA Dealers

August 9, 2007

According to KGMB9, AEROSMITH will perform during the annual convention for Toyota dealers in the United States the weekend of September 29 and 30 at at Les Murakami Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii.

The public cannot purchase tickets for the concert, but some lucky University Of Hawaii students may get a sneak peek.

UH athletics director Herman Frazier told KGMB9 10,000 Toyota dealers from around the country will arrive in late September. Their convention will be held in athletic department facilities on Manoa's lower campus. There will be meetings in the Stan Sheriff Center, a dinner on Cooke Field, and reportedly a concert by AEROSMITH at Les Murakami Stadium.

"We will have a contract with them (Toyota),and it's going to be around half a million dollars. And so for us to be able to reap that kind of benefit, we think, is pretty good," Frazier said.

That is about $500,000 in net profit. All the money goes to athletics. It is a windfall for the Rainbow Warriors and perhaps an opportunity for music lovers.

Students who live in dorms overlooking Les Murakami Stadium will certainly be able to hear the concert, and some should be able to look out their windows and see the action live for free.
